The word “Safari” is a swahili word which literally means a journey. To the locals, a safari means a journey to somewhere or from somewhere. In Tourism it has been widely used to mean any adventurous tourism activity which usually culminates in some game viewing in a 4X4 safari van.

Originally, the Safari started with the great hunting expeditions to Kenya of the early 1950′s which brought President Roosevelt and other celebrities to East Africa to do big time game hunting. Today, the safari experience is varied and can incorporate any touristic related activity, and normally should include a visit to a National park to see Wildlife in their natural habitat.

The most talked about Safari experience is the Migrations— the worlds greatest wildlife spectacle on earth – wildebeests and the Zebra migrations. You too can see the spectacular wildlife migrations!
The endless plains of East Africa are the setting for the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle – the 1.5 million animal ungulate (wildebeest or gnu) migration.

From the vast Serengeti plains to the champagne colored hills of Kenya’s Masai Mara over 1.4 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra and gazelle, relentlessly tracked by Africa’s great predators, migrate in a clockwise fashion over 1,800 miles each year in search of rain ripened grass. Choose from where you want to see the migrations, Kenya or Tanzania, and we shall take you there.
